Professor Yuti Chernajovsky,
Founder Director
Yuti Chernajovsky is ARC
Professor of Rheumatology and Head of Department
of the Bone and Joint Research Unit at Barts and
The London, Queen Marys School of Medicine,
University of London. Trained as a molecular biologist
at The Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel,
his research activities have included the cloning
of several interferons, interleukins and their
receptors.
He has contributed to the cloning and
development of interferon beta as a therapeutic
agent and the use of suicidal genes for cancer
gene therapy. Current research interests include
the development of gene transfer strategies for
the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and other
autoimmune diseases via cellular engineering,
molecular design and genetic engineering. He is
member of the editorial boards of the British
Journal of Pharmacology, Gene Therapy and Arthritis
Research & Therapy.
Janis
Anderson, Javelin Ventures
Janis Anderson is co-founder of Javelin Ventures,
manager of Kinetique Biomedical Seed Fund which
has invested in Stealthyx Therapeutics Ltd. She
is also a part time director of Gyne Ideas, a
medical device development business. She has a
strong background in venture capital investment
and achievement of successful sale and flotation
of businesses.

Donna Hackett, ProPharma Partners
Donna Hackett is a seasoned business development professional with 20 years experience in commercialising life science technology through partnering and start-up activity. She is both scientifically and legally qualified as a non-practising barrister.
Beginning her career at BTG, a world leader in the commercialisation of novel technologies, she moved to University College London to become head of the life science arm of UCL Ventures, the technology licensing and start-up company, before joining ProPharma Partners, the multi-national business and clinical development consultancy.
During this time her work has involved in and out partnering of early and late stage products, securing investment for start-up companies, business strategy and legal, commercial and intellectual property due diligence on potential start-up activity, product and company acquisitions for academic institutions, companies and potential investors.
