Eden Biodesign and Stealthyx Therapeutics Ltd sign deal to develop enhanced treatment for rheumatoid arthiritis.
Liverpool, UK; 26 February 2008: Eden Biodesign Ltd, one of the UK's leading contract bio manufacturers and Stealthyx Therapeutics Ltd, a London based biotechnology company, announced today that they have entered into an agreement to develop and produce Stealthyx's lead therapeutic candidate that the company is evaluating for treatment of a range of inflammatory diseases including rheumatoid arthritis.
The product will incorporate Stealthyx Therapeutics' proprietary Prothyx technology that has been developed by Professor Yuti Chernajovsky at Barts and The London, Queen Mary's School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of London. Prothyx harnesses the properties of a naturally occurring peptide to confer stability and disease targeting biological therapeutics resulting in improved efficacy and side effect profile.
